Underground launches its own soft drink brand
Agencies up their new business strategies and clients hold on to their budgets. Ever creative, Underground took a new approach to the economic climate. Being a brand positioning agency it’s our job to see gaps in the market. Unlike other agencies, we put our money where our convictions are. Like a lot of great ideas the concept for Hopper came in a pub. A product that exploits a unique space between the sweet, fizzy soft drinks on offer and a ‘proper’ alcoholic drink. Hopper has been launched as the ‘soft drink born in a brewery and creates an entirely new category we have called ‘softbrew’. Hopper is a drink for the times. It takes its inspiration from great British brewing traditions, yet is perfectly suited to a healthier, more drink aware culture. It’s a soft drink that is perfectly at home in the pub. Hopper looks unique. And tastes unique. Pour it into a glass and you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s a beer, as the first thing you notice is a bright, ale-like head. There is a bitter twist of hops, a rich taste of malt and a long refreshing draught of fruit. It makes for a longer, more satisfying, more complex soft drinking experience. It’s a great pacer, and a perfect non-alcoholic partner with food. Perhaps for the first time, there’s a soft drink you’d be happy to drink all night. Hopper comes in Citrus, Apple and Pear and Blackurrant flavours each with their own distinctive character. New women’s website gets the Underground touch 
Underground has been awarded the branding work for a new women’s website after a 3-way pitch. Underground was chosen on the strength of its digital branding experience. Underground has already created the name for the site ‘osoyou’ and is preparing the brand for launch this summer. The site aims to capitalize on women’s love of shopping and social networking.
Underground steps up for MBT task
Following a pitch involving 5 creative companies, Underground has been named as the new creative agency for MBT physiological footwear. MBT (‘Masai Barefoot Technology’) shoes –– are based on a unique sole that recreates the benefits of walking on uneven terrain. They are a ‘walking work out’ and help correct body posture. Underground’s first task will be to create a range of POS material for MBT retailers that include John Lewis, Kings Road Sports Club and Harrods.
Underground celebrates launch of flying cow
In honour of the success of SPAM® with Stinky French Garlic and Monty Python’s SPAMALOT™ in the West End, Underground is proud to announce the launch of the ‘silly cow-tapult’ online game. Like the musical, it’s been lovingly ripped off from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. You can pledge your allegiance with the English or ‘stinky’ French knights. Defend your castle by catapulting cows, chickens, cans of SPAM® and more at the attacking forces. Psssst! Secret weaponry is available by inputting barcodes from cans of SPAM®.
